About Karen

Karen Stopford, L.Ac. received her Master of Science degree in acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport and a certificate in Advanced Herbology from Tri-State College in Manhattan.  With undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology, she is committed to understanding and treating the whole patient.

Karen recently moved her private practice from Eastern Connecticut to Fairfield County, where she serves a variety of patients from every walk of life and with a spectrum of issues.  No imbalance is too big or too small to warrant individualized, respectful attention.  She occasionally teaches Qi Gong classes, and often gives exercises to her patients to help improve their health and well-being.

Karen spends two days per week in Manhattan at the Kampo institute and in private practice, where she is undergoing advanced practice internships in Kampo medicine.

A diplomate of NCCAOM (National Certifcation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), Karen is fully licensed and insured.
